Mission of IGSM:

IGSM is a movement committed to training the trainers.  Potential development is the focus.  The training includes formal, informal, non-formal, and modular forms.  IGSM administers an institution with residential and extension studies.  Postgraduate programs are modular in format.

Vision of IGSM:

Fulfillment of the Great Commission through training missionaries and missiologists is the vision.  Along with this, upliftment of the poor and the downtrodden particularly in this part of our area is also our concern.

The Emblem:

The emblem brings out the commitment to the Great Commission with the dedication to the incarnation life style.

Levels in Missionary training:

Missionary training has three levels-

  1. Basic

  2. Middle &

  3. Higher.

The basic level is for grassroots level church planters in the mission fields.  Many of these are native evangelists and these are usually village leaders sometimes not having formal education.

The middle level is for cross cultural career missionary.  A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in missiology would equip the missionary for the task ahead.  M. Th. And Ph.D. degrees are higher and are research oriented.
